Living In Long Beach now.....

The new studio space in our 2 bedroom long beach apt. Been loving our space. It's peaceful, yet very lively at the same time. But not overwhelmingly draining.

So a lot has happened.....recently some sad things, but also very good things.

I won't go into it on here but yes it was difficult to go through.

Anyways, I've been still thinking about how to finish this painting, but I take my sweet time. I like to marinate on my ideas sometimes especially with these huge paintings. It really forces me to think slowly on what ideas I put down visually onto the canvas.

Some ceramic works I worked on during the past months:

The Beginnings of a new chapter

It is almost coming to the end of an era in Koreatown.

My husband and I are moving to Long Beach nearby my younger sister and her husband.

I've been taking this nighttime ceramic workshop at the Barnsdall Art park, Los Feliz. Working on a few ceramic sculptures to incorporate into my sept critique coming up in a few months along with my paintings, photography, zines, etc. It has been therapeutic for me. I really want to invest in a kiln someday soon for our home.

I've started up a new blog project in regards to focusing on interviewing or posting anything about artists that happen to be women. It's called "Art in Women's Eyes"

http://artinwomenseyez.tumblr.com/

It is a platform to showcase the many women who make Art as well.

2016 the start of a battle

Been in Los Angeles for 2 years now, and still don't feel like I really know it well.

Still feels a bit new to some extent.

I've been so heated by the recent presidential candidates, and also the rising inequality of our society in regards to racism, and the rise of no middle class in America. America needs a miracle, we need to fix our country and rise above the negativity that comes along with the new presidential candidates.

I would really like Bernie to win.

In rise of feminism on my mind lately:
here's a sketch:
