RESOLUTIONS OF 2015

- practicing on my uke and guitar
- research new inspiring music
- work on art more, build slowly
- knit more
- consistently updating sites
- cooking more at home
- save money

These past holidays have been sad without my mom around but also I'm blessed to be
able to spend my time with everyone else.

Also over the holidays, I became recently engaged with Ivan. So excited! yee!

 Work has been a bit stressful but I'm keeping focus of the goal to keep art making
in my life.

Transitional times and times of growth...

Lots of things have changed in the last few months.

Getting back to the reality of life goes on.....

I've been working on a recent series with themes of "death, rebirth, ressurection."

It's coming along...been in los angeles since the end of nov 2013. It'll be almost a year soon.

Painful times........

My mother had passed away on April 23, 2014.

It all happened so fast, so sudden, the doctors and specialists weren't able to save her weak heart.

I am devastated.

I'm trying to ease my pain through art. 

It'll take time and the pain may never go away.

I'm going to miss you so much.

The Beginning of a New Page

Koreatown.

It is very busy in Los Angeles.

At my job, I am completely immersed in the darkroom photography world.

I feel I am on the right path here in Los Angeles.

Working slowly on new works.......

                                   Taking my time with my pieces. Working more deeply into each piece.

              It's an interesting moment in time, to process, to grow my skills.

To live in this state of making meaningful pieces that are dear to me, not worried about society or selling.

I am making art for deep purposes. It's a spiritual practice to build on.

Transition. Changes. New Growth.

Things have been a little hectic lately. A lot of life changes and decisions have been made and will be taking place within the next few months.

Also I've been working on a new risqué series....and I'm excited to work on something I never thought I'd be interested in expressing before.

It's something that is a lil' daring for me...but I'm ready to explore this type of series....yay!

Inspired by Francesca Woodman, this photographer that my boyfriend introduced me to.

I made this box that shows photos of her work and diary entries of hers matching the photos. Theres also included in the box a broken ceramic heart.

"What would I do without the absurd and the ephemeral?"

My reactions to life is conjured up through my artwork. Not everyone will get it and I don't expect everyone to. It's not possible for everyone to get it. But if at least one person connects with it, at least I've done my part as an artist. It soothes me to think about that.
